Awkwafina

Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who started her career through innovative raps which addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a an edgy, comical perspective. Her career then grew into Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical encounter. She was a trumpet player. Additionally, she was given Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. While in the college years, she remained focused on her studies, and then majored both in women's study as well as journalism. While she was for a brief amount of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. Following graduation, she decided to focus on music. The track My Vag which was her reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick, became a huge hit on the Internet and later appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide published in the year 2015, and was another project. After having a great career as a musician and songwriter, she decided to take on the role of actor. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors as well as Storks. In the year 2018, she was offered a number of breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June, she launched the EP In Fina We Trust.
