Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. After graduating, her first job was in the real estate business. This is how she met her future partner, Tarek El Moussa. In 2008, following the crash of the stock market, many investors in real estate and those who were house flippers lost their money. Tarek El Moussa was nearly destroyed in the 2008 financial crisis. They were living in a home that cost $6000 per month, and then an apartment costing $700 a month. Slowly, their business as well as the economy overall recovered. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted a buddy to help make an HGTV audition video in the year 2011. The video showed Tarek and Christina who were working in tandem to turn the inside of a home. Pie Town Productions, a production company in New York City was the first to receive the tape. They fell in love Tarek with Christina. The contract was signed by the couple with HGTV. "Flip of Flop" was launched in April 2013. Between 2013 and 2017 92 episodes shown over seven seasons. Christina and Tarek acquired homes located in Orange County that were usually middle income houses. They spent the next weeks renovating the home to ensure they could flip it into a profitable profit. Tarek's focus is on demolition and renovating, while Christina concentrates on design.
