Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American singer and actress. The actress was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier as well as Tom Bell. Her mother is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen realized her potential within the industry of entertainment when she was just a teenager. She was able to land her first part in an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent when she was thirteen, and she got her first role in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. In addition, Bell started taking private acting classes. Bell played an uncredited character in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music and the drama club. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy in her high school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater after graduation. Bell left the school in 2001, when she took the role of Becky for Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene was cut and the credits only depict her. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in The Crucible Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
