Jill Hennessy
She is a native Edmontonian with Irish, Italian and Swedish ancestry, as well as French Ukrainian, French, and Swedish. Her twin sister, Jacqueline is a professional actress. Jill began to master a variety of languages including Italian, French, Spanish while growing to. At the age of twelve, of age, Jill started to get interested in performing. Her career as an actor began in Toronto when she played an actress in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her younger sister. After a course in improv taught by Deb Kimmet at Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. After that, she moved back to New York two years later and was offered a contract to portray Detective Assistant Claire Kincaid in the hit lengthy-running show Law & Order. The three years she spent on the show, she also spent time working in feature films like RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1994), as well as I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). Through the following years, she landed roles in an assortment of uninteresting films. But in 1999, she got a role as the lead in the mini-series uremberg along with Alec Baldwin. Roles in major productions such as Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. In 2001, she was offered leading roles in the crime show on NBC Crossing Jordan and in 2007 she received a Gracie Allen award as "Outstanding Female lead in the drama Series" for her work in the series. In 2000 she married fellow actor Paolo Mastropietro. Together, they have two children. In 2007 she was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame.
